Re: Polish aircraft ''Karas'' - Campain 1939
IX 1939, Lwów-Skniłów, 31. Eskadra Rozpoznawcza from Armia "Karpaty", Karaś nr 44.78, "white 8", had been damaged during landing on 12.09.39, as it just seen.
I have edited other photo of this plane in my book, where its ID plane number is well seen, book only in Polish, "Czerwone gwiazdy sojusznik czarnych krzyży nad Polską. Lotnictwo sowieckie nad Kresami wrzesień-październik 1939", Warszawa 2008.
It is German photo done by German mountain troops, which captured the airfield a few days later. Plane was later handed over to Russian, which had taken Lwów/Lvov. This plane (its photos) is well know, of course, in Poland
