Hello gentlemen,
in JET & PROP No. 1/11 there is an article about ZG2's history. On page 57 is a photograph of Lt. Mentzel and Lt. Messner with caption saying that Mentzel flew yellow 4+ in PC, 1939. I don't know the source for that. But you could ask Marius Emmerling, because he wrote this article. He also states that Ariwaldt was flying WNr. 2260, while Otterbach had WNr. 2202 and Hörmann WNr. 2254. Could this be helpful?
