Information concerning loss of Uffz. Peter Demarteau- Atlantic - 26.05.1944
hi,

Can anyone provide details of the oss of Uffz. Peter Demarteau who was killed on an air mission over the Atlantic on the 26th May 1944?

His death card describes him as being based 'on the Spanish border in use over the Atlantic Ocean', from January 1944 but then he fell - 'on May 26, overtook him on a sortie with his 6-engined grosfernaufklarer'. Not sure what that means?
