Re: Canadian aircraft crash 4 November 1956
RCAF records show the date as 4 November 1956. Here is what my web page says about Canuck 18395:
Served with No. 428 Squadron, RCAF Station Uplands, Ontario, in 1956. Coded "HG*395". Lost while ferrying to Europe during Operation Nimble Bat 1, after controls froze over Scotland, 4 November 1956. Both crew ejected safely. Only Canuck lost in all 4 Nimble Bat missions. With No. 445 Squadron at the time.
If Mr. Marland was a civilian, he may have been an Avro Canada employee.
