On the forum of the Wehrmacht I have found Uffz. Rolf Grassberger's death notice. Strangely enough, it mentions Edmund Grassberger (apparently his grandfather, as he was born in 1866
https://books.google.pl/books?id=Lmn...berger&f=false), Rolf's grandmother Helene Reich and an unspecified Gunhild Hellweg, but there is nothing about his parents. Was he perhaps an orphan raised by his grandparents or by an aunt?
