"It was about this time that 349 (Belgian) Squadron was short of experienced sub-section leaders, and Doug Clark
(sic) was seconded from 485 Squadron to fly with the Belgians. He had an enjoyable short tour, sharing the destruction of a FW 190; and the Belgian Command marked their appreciation of his efforts by awarding him the Belgian Croix de Guerre."
