Baugher never indicates Weninger shot down 41-29996. He just states it was lost to I./JG 53, which at the present state of research is very reasonable.
Weninger claimed a Boston, verified from German sources, but he made an identification error, no Bostons present during this combat. Stab and I./JG 53 made three claims between 11.03-11.25, which correspond to two US B-25 losses. Most likely two pilots claimed one and the same aircraft here. There is no indication in MAW 4 that any B-26 units were involved.

Checking my French loss list from 1943-45, there is no loss at all recorded on 15 Aug 1943. The first B-26 loss is listed on 21 Feb 1944 (41-17959).

May I ask what French archives (document) you are quoting from and if you have checked them yourself or if you are quoting someone else?

Cheers
Stig
