Dear all,
I'm looking for information on the Bordmechaniker (Flight Engineer) Ofw Hermann Cyrener (2./KG66). Can anybody out here help with the following questions?
- Which Besatzung (crew) did he belong to while flying with I/KG66? Who were his pilot, Bordfunker, Beobachter?
- Which unit did he came from before joining 2./KG66?
- Why did he stop flying combat missions after 27 April 1944 (at least according to his Leistungsbuch, first combat mission on 22 September 1943)? (Apparently he was not shot down or something like that, at least he doesn't show up in my losses list.)
- What happened to him after 27 April 1944 till war's end? Did he stay with I/KG66 or did he go to another unit?
- Does anybody have a picture of him or his crew?
