Frank,
Vladimir Kotelnikov's, Lend-Lease and Soviet Aviation in the Second World War, whilst excellent on the technical aspects, operational use, markings and camouflage, it is singularly lacking in any mention of serials allocated to the Russian Airacobras (pp.191-244). You need to look elsewhere for that information.
As an aside, re L-L&SAitSWW. Any prospective purchasers would do well to check the photo/colour profile section (between pp.244-257). The copy I received from a UK supplier had a complete chapter not bound in. The section (ix-xxiv), was there, but not bound into the book! It gave the impression of being added to the book after publication.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Col.
