I will have the full combat report he filed in front of me tomorrow and may get some more details then.

I may get a map and sit down and try to plot some of this out and see which ones are more probable. I know we can never be for sure, but some of these may be able to be ruled out.

The story I have heard is that this was not in a large group of aircraft, but him and a few other P-47s were unengaged and a lone FW190 overshot.
