No, he was never awarded the Ritterkreuz. For reference see 'Ritterkreuzträger' by Veit Scherzer or

He was awarded the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold on 11 May 1942 ('Die träger des Deutschenkreuzes in Gold' agian by Veit Scherzer)
