Re: Weekly DC3 Flights from Chivenor 1941

From this link : http://forum.keypublishing.com/showt...gs-in-Portugal

"The 3 Hudsons, 1 C-47 and 2 Liberators at the back were all impounded by the Portuguese, the C-47 on left was G-AGJS , lend-lease on the KLM/BOAC Bristol-Lisbon service, the Lufthansa DC-3 foreground was D-ARPF seized from KLM, the DC-2 behind was Spanish and the Lodestar to the right was CS-ADD of AeroPortuguesa."

One B-24 interned in Portugal was this one: 42-40772 Scheherezade' 564th BS, 389 BG. Not at all sure it is one of those pictured.

There is also a discussion of the B-24s here:

Link mentions 42-40772 and several others including a Coastal Command Liberator BZ730.
