Thanks for the response. I had identified the Army Type 92 Reconnaissance aka 2MR8 in picture 3,hence my comment about the item being unusual.I'm pretty sure I have not previously seen a Pacific War era example of this type,albeit given the production numbers I guess it is far from impossible that the aircraft saw use with training establishments after withdrawl from frontline units.I would love to see more info on any 1941-45 use of the 2MR8 if anyone has anything.
