Hallo Alex,

Just went through the Air-Britain RAF Aircraft Registers looking for Dakotas lost on 6th and 7th June 1944. I found a total of 10, 7 on the 6th and 3 on the 7th.

I think the extra one to add to your list would be KG329 of 233 Squadron lost on the 7th to flak near Ranville.

A quick summary from the above sources would showthe following;

6th June 1944.
48 Sqn. KG426
233 Sqn KG356, KG424 and KG429
512 Sqn FZ690 and KG347
575 Sqn KG434

7th June 1944.
233 Sqn KG329
271 Sqn FZ667
512 Sqn KG480

No mention of any RAF Dakota losses on these two days in OVER THE BEACHES by John Foreman.
