Re: Sgt Ron Tucker 235 Sqn lost 18 July 1940
Hello all,
resurrecting this old thread. Does anyone know which Spitfire squadron were the culprits ? 41 Squadron were also based at Catterick at this time. The excellent history of 41 Squadron, 'BLOOD,SWEAT and COURAGE' by Steve Brew notes no such incident but they had two sections airborne around the time of the attack (1.56 p.m.). One section landed 1.51 p.m. and the other at 2.04 p.m. Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Martin Gleeson.
