Re: Fw 190 C and Me 410 DB 603s

"Artie Bob (Art Medcalf) noted that a January 1945 production list stated that 35 He 219A-7s, as well as one He 219 D-1, were built that month. That appears to be an awfully high number of a/c since during the month of highest Lw production, Sep 44, only 25 He 219s were produced, but why not?"

Artie Bob's information is correct. The January 1945 production list is the document titled "Beitrag zur Beschaffungsmeldung", undated but giving figures for "Ausbringung im Januar" of neubau and umbau aircraft.
The 35 A-7s were delivered by EHR (Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke Rostock-Marienehe) and the single D-1 by EHW (Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke Wien-Schwechat).
This document can be found in the Bundesarchiv under reference BA-MA RL 3/1278 (RL 3/425 IWM), also on microfilm at the Imperial War Museum on Speer Documents Microfilm Reel No. 129. (The various British references for this document are: FD5639/45 Box 400 & A.D.I. (K) No. 166/99). I would guess this can also be found on Microfilm at the US NARA but I have no reference for this.
