The Morville Giants : the forgotten story of Morville Flugpaltz (1918)

Dear Friends,

My first book, recently released, deals with - unexpected but - rewarding topics : the story of Morville airfield (near Florennes, South Belgium). Built by the Germans in 1917, Morville was used for RFA 500 and its mighty Staaken, the famous Giant bombers (Riesenflugzeugen), bombing France on Springs 1918.

This modern airbase was the first built in South Belgium but was used for only 6 months, losing its six Giants, before going to oblivion. Hopefully, through 4 years of researches, their amazing stories and pictures are depicted for the very first time for a century.
Indeed, Marton Szigeti, the Giants researcher, provided me with never published info's and many incredible pictures.

Others chapters deal with the last WW1 air battles and the untold story of the very last RAF casualty (with the last Canadian airmen lost) occured on the 10th November 1918 in my area.
The last flight of WW1 (landing on Morville) is also covered in details.

Albeit written in French (no translation is planned and copies are limited), those rare topics and unique pictures (showing also relics from WW1 aircraft!) deserve your attention.
You can buy a copy on next IPMS meeting (6-7 October 2018) at Affligen (West of Brussels). Otherwise you can contact me for ordering details.

Don't miss the landing of Morville Giants!

144 pages, 30 EUR, softback cover.

Best regards
