It was serious research but now C. Cony's article, which used Clostermann's logbooks, is way more comprehensive.

Thank you for the link, Alfred. The author of that article, Arnold D. Harvey, is something of a problem character, see the following blog post by the Australian aviation historian Brett Holman published in 2013:

I think it is reasonable that
Air Power History continues to publish articles by Arnold Harvey, since his aviation research is far less subject to the problems that Holman and others have highlighted in his other writing.
I am aware of Christophe Cony's article in
Avions and agree with you that it is a good piece of research, as is so often the case with the works of M. Cony.
