Karl Heiderich I/JG 27
Our JG 27/JG26 veterans family mourn our dear friend Karl. Erster wart 1943-45. Cross trained in airframe and power plant. Barracks mate of Mattias Letuku in 43-44, he was greatly involved in Mattias' visit to us in 1984. Son of a WW1 pilot, he has earned the glider badge with two gulls, but due to fuel shortages, returned to JG 27 after only a short time at flugschule. This he realized gratefully saved his life. Personally, a great friend in our 40 years of JG. 27 veterans organizations meetings, large and small.
