Re: Hyphen usage in French place names.
The usual and even legal (*) standard is with hyphens : Saint-André-de-l'Eure, Sainte-Mère-Église...
(*) Toponyms are strictly ruled by the French law and cannot be altered with a decision of the State Consil.
