Re: Question on location of base for I./ZG2 on 26.5.40, Neufchâteau airfield.
Hi: RAF battles from 103,142 and 150Sqn were active in the Recogne, Ochampes, St. Hubert area around 11:15 (German time) and reported engaging bf110's. All of these are slightly N, N-W of Neaufchateau in Belgium. I/ZG2 suffered other losses this day, besides Gentzen, so perhaps this is the action that provoked his ultimately fatal scramble.
