I would recommend this book:
- Geust, Carl-Fredrik & Petrov, Gennadij: Red Stars Vol. 3. Camoflague and markings of Russian and Soviet aircraft until 1941. Tampere: Apali, 1999. ISBN 952-5026-16-7.
Very good, great photos and colourplates. Covers well the time of 1910īs and 1920īs.
