On 16 and 18 July, I. Gruppe was operating from Kaunas/Lithuania while II. and III. Gruppe were based at
Zamość in SE Poland.
I'm guessing many or most were hit by AA fire while attacking Russian ground forces at low altitude and/or were caught on the ground by VVS Il-2s, Pe-2s and fighters. I hope someone here has the unit's NVMs because I would like to know the answer to your question, too.
