'Heaven Next Stop' I am also intrigued by though is one of the photographs. The narrative tells of the shooting down of a British holder of the VC. Although not directly linked to the text, the book gives the impression that it is the VC holder mentioned.
Any clues to who he (British Pilot VC holder on the left) really is or indeed, who is the German officer (bending down) next to him?.
