Contact requested in former DDR

Gentlemen,

Two cases are known, of Allied aviators, both Mosquito pilots, who baled out safely over the wider Berlin area in 1945, during the closing stages of the war. Both vanished without a trace. There is some understanding of how that may have happened. What I do not have is a contact in the sphere of aviation history, who is or was living in the former DDR. It is understood that the Iron Curtain came down in 1989, which may perhaps be too recent for local aviation history to flourish as it does elsewhere in Europe. Nevertheless, I would like to come into contact with some-one from the former DDR, who has a good knowledge about WW2 events that took place there. Use of the German language would be fine to me.

Regards,

Rob
