S/Sgt. Vernon E. Timman, - 18029120

Hello,

Seeking details of fellow crew members of S/Sgt. Vernon E. Timman, 18029120.

He became a POW on the 3rd October, 1944.

He served with the 305th Bomber Group.

There is an MACR (9354) for this date, and is in Fold3.
However for some reason it appears in an (to me) unreadable state.

Aircraft was a B17 , serial number 43-38151 with 9 crew.

This a/c went down a few days after the Timman event on the 7th October, 44.

There are about 40 pages in the MACR, BUT only the first 10 apply to the 3rd October 44, Timman event.
The rest apply to the a/c eventual loss on the 7th October 44 ( MACR 9355) and is quite readable.10 crew names are known.

So I would like to know the names of the other 8 crew, when Timman became pow on the 3rd October, 44.

OK,
I found the names.
They were:
Pilot: Van Fleet, Joseph L. Jr.
C.Pilot: Morris, James Harp.
Nav: Weinstein, Maurice J.
Bomb: McKenzie, Delmar D.
Ball/T: Smith, Daniel - Sgt - 18034050(?).
TailG: Slivyak, John C. - Sgt - 13042050(?).
WaistG: Nanneman, Ernest J. - Sgt.
WaistG/RO: Brelsford, Horace -Sgt.

Can anyone confirm and/or add rank/service number for them please ?

Thanks for any help
Alex
