27. A line-up of Me 262s of III./EJG 2 at Lechfeld, probably late December 1944 or very early January 1945. Note the pattern of the
kaulquappe (tadpole) camouflage of experimental wooden tail fins. The nearest aircraft being towed is a Me 262 a-2a (one white gun rectangle) White 1, possibly W.Nr. 170047.

29. A view of the starboard side of White 1 showing a fresh late-war camouflage has been newly applied. It seems to have consisted of an overspray of the fuselage, followed by a squiggle pattern of dark colour and a new yellow band, then another light overspray of an opaque anti-dazzle paint.

30. A view of the port side of White 1. Note that the "white S", signifying that it is not suitable for combat, has been moved back to below the horizontal stabilizer while it is missing from the starboard side.
