Do 217 loss May 1944

I have been unsuccessful in determining the identity of the Do 217 (almost certainly a K) which was recovered in parts by an Fa 223 in May 1944. There is nothing which corresponds to this loss in the Schulen records and the GQM losses are of course missing.

The extent of damage to the Do 217 was given in documentation as 30%. The location is given as Vehner Moor beim Gut Kartzfehn which is relatively near to Boesel and about 20 km or so south of Bad Zwischenahn. The exact date it came down is not known but I would say between 1/5/44 and 4/5/44. The most likely unit to my mind was II./KG 2 which was refitting at Muenster-Handorf in early May prior to redeployment to the Front but I can't see any corresponding loss in either of Balke's two books on KG2.

I am open to any thoughts and will be hugely appreciative of any assistance.
