Re: Plt Off Alexander 206 Sqn
Hello,
44461 P/O (Pilot) Charles Ronald ALEXANDER DFM RAF (later MBE[M])
There had to be constant vigilance in case of attack by enemy intruders, as happened on 7 April (1941), during some practice flying at the Langham satellite at around 2345 hrs, with Pilot Officer Alexander at the controls. The aircraft was attacked simultaneously by a Ju 88 and a Dornier Do 17 and Alexander had to take rapid evasive action, while fire was exchanged. Luckily the pilot was able to escape by diving to 200 feet and managed to land the Hudson undamaged.
