Re: 'Unknown' Bf 110 recovered in Belgium!
As I am focusing on a material loss, I came - by chance - on an unrecorded loss (no NVM) quoted in Hannes FORKE's war diary.
Extract from the newly released "RAUM 7 history" book written by fellow researcher Roland CHARLIER : (on page 287) on the 24th February 1944, our "Kleiner" (aka Wilhelm HERGET) need to evacuate his aircraft (most probably a Bf 110) following an engine fire. All three escaped and reported safe. No given place but it worths quoting, isn't it!
Obviously, we cannot rule out others NJG's, even those based outside Belgium but this loss is puzzling.
