Re: Sergeant (Free French) Raymond Allignol

Hello Stig
Thank's for the new info.
As fare as I know, Raymond Allignol was awarded with a civilian pilote license on April, 1938. He became military pilot in March, 1940.
May be he was posted at RAF college as flying instructor due to his knowledge or as officer cadet.

No 5 Service Training Flying School is the unit which is reported by the French "Role of Honor" website "Mémoire des Hommes". This unit was disbanded in April, 1942.

The place where he crashed is given as Cranwell near Barston (Lincolnshire) by the same website.

Best regards
Franck
