Re: Air War Publications update

Update on Book Projects - Air War Publications by Andrew Arthy Full preview at link below 2025 Nachtjagd Over the Eastern Front by Sven Carlsen, Morten Jessen and Adam Thompson Aircraft Profiles by Claes Sundin [cover art and page layouts at link] Early 2026 A History of No. 450 Squadron RAAF Vol. I by Doug Norrie Aircraft Profiles by Claes Sundin Coming in 2026 and beyond Air War Courland by Andrew Arthy Henschel 123 by Morten Jensen IV. Gruppe of Kampfgeschwader zbV 1 [Luftwaffe transport Gruppe] by Adam Thompson "Adam has also been busy, and when not focused on the Nachtjagd Over the Eastern Front and No. 450 Squadron projects, he has been working away on a new title of his own. We can now reveal that his upcoming book will be a history of the IV. Gruppe of Kampfgeschwader zbV 1. Leading a nomadic existence through the first few years of the war, Adam has conducted extensive research into the Gruppe, resulting in a detailed description of this unit’s activities. These activities included participation in the invasions of Poland, Scandinavia, France and the Soviet Union, with service in the Mediterranean theatre, North Africa, and the Balkans. Also part of the unit’s history were its efforts to supply beleaguered German troops in the Demyansk Pocket during 1942. Relying on a range of primary and secondary sources to reconstruct the story, Adam has also amassed a large collection of unpublished photographs to illustrate his work." eArticles "David E. Brown and Morten have been working on another camouflage and markings article, about a late-war Me 262, while Adam has been looking into a Luftwaffe loss on the opening day of the war between Poland and Germany. Andrew also has a few eArticles in the pipeline" https://airwarpublications.com/air-w...ations-update/ |

Re: Air War Publications update
Andrew and Morten:
Is the volume on the FW190 over Italy (Post Sicily and Salerno) still in the works? I have your first two vols (North Africa/Tunisia and Sicily/Southern Italy)and I'm looking to make it a 'hat trick'. |

Re: Air War Publications update
Hej Nick
Thanks for your interest in the Fw 190 over Italy series. The two remaining volumes have been put on a temporary hold due to the two near-completed books and each of our “solo” projects (Courland and Hs 123). Once they are published we will pick up and complete the Fw 190 in the Mediterranean series … with lots of interesting first-hand account, unpublished photos, maps and aircraft profiles. Andrew also want to finish his II./Jagdgeschwader 51 and 31st Fighter Group histories, plus several other Eastern Front campaign histories, Adam has some plans, and I will write my Schlachtflieger/ground-attack book, but those are projects for the distant future! Cheers, Morten |
