NZ402162 Sgt Graham Francis Breckon
The above pilot was shot down PM 24 July 41 in W3116/RN-M of 72 Sqn. He came down on land, was captured and later picked up by two pilots from JG 26 and entertained at St Omer. He says also he was shot down prior to this south of London and crash-landed not far from Biggin Hill and a second time, when with 72 Sqn, he was shot up over the Channel and managed to crash-land P8751 on Ramsgate beach on 19 July 1941. He did a short time with 609 Sqn before joining 72 Sqn via 234 Sqn on 14 July 41 but can anyone come up with the date of his first incident? He said he was the 10th victim of the pilot that shot him down on 24 Jul 41 which doesn't match with any JG 26 claimants

Re: NZ402162 Sgt Graham Francis Breckon
Chris,
I can't answer your question, but W3116 was lost on 22 June 1941 as PR-T of 609 Sqn. Breckon was flying W3316. Andy |

Re: NZ402162 Sgt Graham Francis Breckon
He came from 609 Squadron to 501 Squadron in July 1941 and then 72 Squadron on July 14th.
