Hi Chris,
Thanks for the pointer -- an inconspicuous but hugely important announcement!

It's a relief that TOCH will be up and running for a bit longer at the very least, and it's VERY encouraging that Ruy is willing to invest in bringing the site's infrastructure up to date. I'm not familiar with the vBulletin forum software, but I should be able to help with the database migration in case the vBulletin upgrade doesn't handle it automagically. I'll get in touch with him.

I'm delighted to NOT have to post my archive of TOCH Version 2.0 (the current forum) at this time, but I will keep it up to date, just in case. In the meantime, I'll be switching my attention to publishing some other resources on www.luftwaffedata.com:

• the TOCH Version 1.0 archive (the version of TOCH that ran from the late 1990s to 2004)
• a Luftwaffe bibliography
• an archive of Nick Beale's Ghost Bombers site

Other planned additions are:

• indexes of various magazines, e.g. Luftwaffe im Focus, Wings of the Black Cross, Luftwaffe Verband, and possibly Jägerblatt/Fliegerblatt (a massive undertaking...)
• various lists of pilots, aircraft, museums, archive materials, Luftwaffe websites, etc.

For now, I'm very happy that I'll still be able to get my daily fix on this wonderful forum. Long may it continue.
