Foggia Airfield, 31 Oct 1943

A German (?) aircraft was hijacked on an internal Croatia flight from Sarajewo to Zagreb. The aircrew was Croatian; passengers were Croatian prisoners and one German Gestapo sergeant. Total on board, 10 people.

With this number of people on board it was probably a twin-engined aircraft. It arrived at Foggia airfield - then in British hands - on 31 Oct 1943. Pilot named as "Derren Sereko". Everyone on board taken prisoner.

Anyone absolutely any information on this incident?

Plane in question was Caproni 310bis "1101" and it landed at Tortorella a/f. Pilot 2/Lt Luka Puric, observer Capt.Stjepan Kovacevic, gunner Sgt. Drago Konjevod and five passengers. Capt. Janko Dobnikar was aboard the plane and was transfered to prison in Zagreb in company of Gestapo agent.

Did you mean to say prison in "Zagreb"?
Any idea what happened to the plane?

Yap, thats what I have written, Zagreb/Agram. Dobnikar, aprominent test pilot, was connected with communists and was disclosed as such by Gestapo. Have no idea what happened with the plane.
