By next year, I hope to release the first volume of my history of Sturmstaffel 1 and the IV.(Sturm)/J.G. 3. I have written a footnote about Robert Ritter von Greim based on multiple sources, but still need to work out a few issues. I am wondering if anyone has a German pre-1939 biography of von Greim that they would be willing to share. I am interested in knowing the exact name of one of his World War I flying units - many sources say it's Feldflieger-Abteilung
3, while others name it as Feldflieger-Abteilung
3b. I am also interested in knowing more about von Greim's post-WWI career from 1918-1920. Once source says that he was the director of the "airmail station" in Muenchen from 30 December 1918 to 19 October 1919 (I would really like to know the actual German title of this office). The same source states that he was later assigned to the "Bavarian Aviation Office" (again, I would like to know the contemporary German designation) and the "processing office for flying troops" in Schleissheim (and again, I would like to see the actual German designation for this office). If anyone can help, please post a response here, or preferably, contact me at my e-mail address,

Thanks in advance!
