He59B 11/08/40
Can anybody help with information on a He59B that was destroyed while on the water on the 11th August 1940.
I know the He59B was blown at the water when picking up downed airmen after a engagement that morning by 604 Squadron. The aircraft was from Seenotzentrale Cherbourg and was 30 miles off Cherbourg. It was protected by six Me109s while picking up downed airmen. Thanks for looking! Regards Danny
