Two B-24s (467BG) lost 16 August 1944

Hi guys

On 16 August 1944, two B-24s (41-28981 Lt Grace and 42-50580 Lt Prewitte) of the 467th BG were involved in some kind of friendly fire incident over the North Sea, according to my information. Prewitte's aircraft was lost with the death of the entire crew of six. It's possible that Grace's aircraft accidentally shot down Prewitte's aircraft, but I can't be certain.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Brian
