Ju 88 who lost 2,5 meters of right wing - Russia
Good night to all.
I am looking for more details about the FULL names ( searched on Kracker and got no joy ) and perhaps the date of the incident below ( from a very crude book by Karl Bartz ): 1- A Ju 88 crew ( pilot Stuhler, Haist, Metz and Schlegel ) took off from Bagerowo to bomb Flak positions at Krimskaja ( Kuban ). They were hit and lost almost 2,5 meters of the right wing. The crew managed to return to base. Could someone help me identifying the DATE / Kampgeschwader / aircraft codes and full names of the crew? I do know this is a shot in the dark, but maybe someone heard or read about this accident. Thanks for all help. Adriano |

MANY thanks...I am sure you found it! Yes..they took off from Bagerowo and were hit by Flak....Could you confirm the werknummer being 883825? Many many thanks...you gave me almost everything! Just for information: Herr Maist was rear gunner and Lt. Schlegel was the Observer. WILL try to find out the CODES of this aircraft, although do not know were to look for it....Again, THANKS a lot!
