Bf 109 lost on 8 May 1943
Hello,
I have a short note that "the son of the pastor of Goslar" died in the crash of a Bf 109 at Wöllersheim on 8 May 1943. I have no name or Wnr. I searched the Volksbund data for dead that came from Goslar. There are 525 names but none on 8 May 1943. On the other hand, a pilot killed in Germany in 1943 was often buried by his family in private cemeteries and so will not be shown on the Volksbund database. I would like to have more details, given that AFAIK Goslar is now (and probably was at the time) a town big enough to have several pastors... It is also fairly possible that the aircraft involved was not a Bf 109, but another single-engine aircraft. So I am searching for a single-engine aircraft crashing near Wöllersheim on 8 May 1943. Thanks in advance |
