RAF over Paris before war

Hello !
I have question for RAF specialist... A friend show me few pictures of RAF aircraft on a base in Paris before war.
We have :
- Hampden
- Blenheim (FO or FQ)
- Spitfire (i saw only a white A on fuselage)
- Wellington (LY)
- Hurricane with "III" on fuselage

Any of you have an idea for what so much aircraft come to paris ? when ?... and moreover the squadrons...
My idea is that they come for french national day july 14th 1938 or 1939 but i am not sure at all....

Big thanks to all who can give me informations !

Best

Matt

Re: RAF over Paris before war

It was July 1939 for the Bastille Day flypast over Paris. One of the a/c involved was L4363 of 9 Sqn at Honington. This Wellington went down after a collision with L4288 over Suffolk on 30 October 1939.

I believe the Hurricanes of 111 Squadron - it is the squadron number you see on the side - were involved in a visit to Villacoublay, possibly a royal visit or high ranking politicians. This was clearly earlier than the introduction of squadron codes in September 1938, so not the July 1939 flypast.
