All i have is;- Mk1, Gloster built, third production batch.
9/5/41, 249squ, loaded aboard HMS Furious for trip to Gibraltar. 18/5/41, 249squ, transferred to HMS Ark Royal. 21/5/41, 249squ, took-off from carrier for flight to Malta, Pilot;- S/L R.A. Barton. 14/6/41, 73squ,took-off from Sidi Barrani, strafed Gazala airfield destroying 7 aircraft, shot down by flak, Pilot;- F/O G. Goodman, KILLED.

Thanks, that is a good beginning.
It was not around for long, was it? Goodman was found by an Italian unit who buried him beside the aircraft. His body was not recovered until the allies retook the area. Does anyone have any idea which units (Italian and British) were involved?
