Re: Identification of He-111

I checked my Luftwaffe loss database, but found no entry for He 111, W.Nr. 3380.

Re: Identification of He-111

KG 53 & KG 55 were flying some He 111Ps and early 'H's in the SU in 1941. Also some flew as transports. The date of the plate would seem rather late, assuming it's a production date.

Re: Identification of He-111

By that time the P models were no more produce, probably some conversion to P-5/P9... standarts who necessitate a new "Abnahme"

H-3 models probably end at 3379 I am not convince that it was a P , has heinkel allocated a Wn from a void serie to a "combination" plane ?? Transport ??

Re: Identification of He-111

Hi,

From some of my documentation I have 3353 to 3393 as P types. All produced Oct to Dec 1939 as P-2, but a few became P-4s. Most were initially with KG55.

I suspect that the plate could possibly have been the result of upgrading work, or major repair work, although I have no specific reference to 3380 having a major accident 1940-41.

Regards,

David

Re: Identification of He-111

Is there anybody who has factual proof of existence of that block , saying from 3373 to 3395 , apart from books, of Peter, paul or Jack of course ??

For me the P lot ends to 3360 /EHF, prior til 3352 they are H models made by Arado, above 3360 I hv found an 3372 as H nd an 3396 one time called P-4 , but also H-5, to note the 3365 D-ADXS/PF+UR that flew with the Fl.St. der Führer
