Your Favorite WW2 Battle

What is your favorite WW2 Battle to learn about and why?

I have a long list...I'll just name a few. They are all for the same reason...I love WW2 history and I just like learning about these battles.

Battle of Stalingrad
Battle of Britain
Battle of the Atlantic
Battle of Midway
Pearl Harbor
Guadalcanal
Okinawa
D-Day
and everybody loves the Hunt for the Bismarck...and the Air War in general...

Re: Your Favorite WW2 Battle

Not sure i would use the term favorite, but in general the War in the East captures my attention more than when being principaly aware of the western front growing up.

Lately I have been interested in the goings on of the far Southern front.
Mansteins Sevastopol, and the campaign of the southern caucasus to capture the oil fields, and what it may have meant strategically as well as tactically

Re: Your Favorite WW2 Battle

Many interesting (if the event where young people being killed could be called 'interesting') but for me is battle over Matsuyama interesting.
