Josef Fozo?

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that the airman on the far right of this picture is Josef Fozo? (I'm not certain that this is the correct spelling of his surname but there are different versions online).

I am not sure so would appreciate confirmation one way or another.

though its a little bit blured, i would say this is definitely Josef "Joschko" Fözö.
Is this a Spit lying in the front ?

Yes it is an unidentified spifire somewhere in France.

Hello,

The Spitfire depicted, was one of Ed West's (11-20) offerings back on 21 Nov. 2008. It carried the individual letter "S", and possibly the SH coding of No.64 Sqn. Ed warned that the photo was - Graphic.

Maybe Ed, or someone else can retrieve the shot. It has gone from E-Bay.

The airman on the extreme left, could be Herbert Huppertz, of JG51.

This is a well photographed crash and is as far as I am aware is Rowden's plane. The photos I have (which came from Mölders) shos the cockpit from the port side, the starborad side from in front of the wing and the tail from the starboard side. The photo I did not copy shows the pilot's body lying on or shrouded by a pararachute

Are you able to confirm that the Luftwaffe airman on the far right is Josef Fozo of Jg51?

Also, did Viktor Moelders visit the crash site or were the pictures you mention passed on to him.

Certainly looks like him & photos came to Werner first & then to Viktor after the war

Finally, do the pictures in your collection indicate who may have been responsible for shooting down John Hampton Rowden?
