Bf109E MG17 rate of fire

Hi guys,
Does anyone have the actual rate of fire for the cowling guns on the Bf109E series, Trying to work out the reduction caused by the synchronisation gear.

Many thanks.

Re: Bf109E MG17 rate of fire

Try this page http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/WW2guneffect.htm Tony Williams is a noted authority on such things & table 2 on that page gives a rate of fire for the MG17 of 20 rps. Hope that is of some use.
Steve.
