Who was the pilot? JG5/JG77?

Hi guys

On the internet is a photograph of the scoreboard of a Bf109 or Bf110 pilot (possibly Max Franzisket ?) who claimed at least six victories, plus a Russian MTB, as follows:

30/7/41 two British

14/9/43 two Soviet twin-engined

13/10/43 Soviet twin-engined

22/12/41 Soviet MTB 'Bali'

26/5/44 Soviet twin-engined

Any ideas?

Cheers
Brian

Re: Who was the pilot? JG5/JG77?

Hptm. Franzisket went MIA on 19-Jul-43 so he seems unlikely.

Re: Who was the pilot? JG5/JG77?

Hi guys

Has anyone any ideas?

I note that I mistyped 22/12/41 for the attack on the Russian/Norwegian (?) vessel BALI - should have been 22/12/43.

But can anyone advise on the victory claims? The photo is copyrighted, so I presume I can't post it here. However, I can identify the website if anyone interested.

Hoping for some news, please!!

Cheers
Brian

Any kills against the RAF on 30 Jul 41 appear to be by II/ZG 76 but no pilot is credited with two

Re: Who was the pilot? JG5/JG77?

Hi Chris

Thanks for responding.

The 30/7/41 'kills' were almost certainly claims against the FAA during the disastrous Petsamo/Kirkenes raid.

Re: Who was the pilot? JG5/JG77?

Hi guys

Solved!!

It was not the scoreboard of a German fighter pilot, but that of a German armed trawler!!

So, apologies to anyone who spent time trawling through Luftwaffe records (as I did!)

Cheers
Brian
