1.ErgGr/JG2 and 7./JG1

Dear researchers,

The 1.ErgGr/JG2 was located on Airfield Bergen (North-Holland) from 7th January 1941 till 7th February 1942. The 7./JG1 was located on the same field from 25th December 41 till 8th February 1941.

According to Flugbücher it appears that both units were related in some way with eachother.

Who can acknowledge this relation?

Thanks in advance,
Hans Nauta

Re: 1.ErgGr/JG2 and 7./JG1

Hello Hans,

On 25 Dec 41 7./JG 1 of III./JG 1 arrived at Bergen/Holland. This Staffel originated from parts of the Ergänzungsgruppe/JG 2. First Staffelkapitän was Oberleutnant Harry Koch. Hope this helps.

Best wishes,
Rob
