Following great advice from members of this group, we are pleased to announce that the Jockey Club of Gt. Britain are supporting our efforts to place a memorial to F/O. Peter Carter and P/O. Jan Borowski of 302 (P) Squadron at the Kempton Park racecourse on Sunday 18th October 2015 (13:15 hrs).*
They are providing a reception area for us, well as a half page editorial of the action in October 1940 in the race day programme. Relatives of Jan Borowski will be flying over from Poland, relatives of Peter Carter will be attending as well as representatives from the Polish Airforce Memorial committee.*
I hope to be able to post some photographs of this. Anybody who wishes to send flowers etc for the ceremony are welcome to do so. A stainless steel plaque has been designed and has been mounted on a mahogany board which will be placed within the main building.

Brenda Melander, who, as a 10 year old witnessed the two pilots crashing that day on October 18th 1940 will be unveiling the plaque and also, with the efforts from the Jockey Club of Gt. Britain will be announcing the first race of the day! A storyboard will be placed beside the plaque. A fantastic amount of support from Kempton Park which I am sure you will agree.
