Unknown German aircraft part
Hi! I visited a local scrap metal merchant today and found this intresting item. It seems to belong to a German aircraft, because it has some words in german language on it ("Sieb nach 100 flugstunden wechseln"). It also has date stamp: 12. mai 194.. Can someone identify, what part of the plane this is and what plane did it belong? One end has a window in it.
More pictures: http://nagi.ee/photos/Aspelund/sets/391429/ With greetings from Estonia Tarmo. |

Re: Unknown German aircraft part
Sadly, that is a VERY messed up Horizon. Post-war, someone has taken it apart, heavily converted it, and then used it for another purposes.
When it "was" a horizon, it would have been used on the Me110, Ju88, and He111... Unfortunately, it is nothing more than scrap at this point... ![]() Mike |
